CLASSES

All classes may be repeated as needed.
Whether you just want to try your hand at something new, or you really, really need to give your dog something structured to do, the Zoom Room has a class for you.

Pre-Agility
A brush up of the most basic kind for the budding agility dog.  A rapid-fire approach to getting the basic behaviors out of your dog needed to begin agility classes, including the sit-stay, down-stay, and come commands.  Expect to learn a lot, and then go home and practice.  Highly recommended for those enrolling in Series I.  Prerequisites:  All dogs must be six months of age or older, and be able to be controlled on a leash.  Two weeks / $65

Agility Series I
Designed for the dog with no agility experience, you and your dog will learn the basics of obstacle management, developing control and confidence.  Prerequisites:  All dogs must be six months of age or older, and be able to be controlled on a leash, and must know sit, down, and come.  Six weeks / $150

Agility Series II
A continuation of Series I, your dog will develop more control and fluidity and begin to learn coursework and footwork.  Prerequisites:  Series I or consent of instructor. Six weeks / $150

Puppy  Preschool 
Someday they’ll grow up.  Just not yet.  In the meantime, you’ll learn how to address housebreaking, nipping, chewing, and jumping problems, all while commiserating with other hapless puppy owners.  Includes an introduction to basic obedience, as well as socialization and group play time for the little ones.  Prerequisites:  Vaccines commensurate with age. Four weeks / $95

Puppy Agility
A special class for puppies ages two to six months, designed to be easy on growing joints and bones.  Designed with fun and safety in mind, this class is a great way to bond with your young pal. Prerequisites:  Vaccines commensurate with age. Six weeks / $150

Private Agility Lessons
The Zoom Room can provide private, one-on-one instruction for those wishing for a more tailored, individualized approach to agility training.  Private lessons are also suitable for dogs that have sociability issues with other dogs, or for those preparing for competition.  Prerequisites:  Non-aggresive to humans. $95 / hour

Canine Good Citizen Class / Therapy Dog Training
Prepare for the A.K.C. Good Citizen test or the Delta Society temperament test for therapy dogs.  This group class is designed to help you and your dog fine-tune your basic obedience skills and focuses special attention on good manners, control around distractions, and testing protocol. Prerequisites:  Pre-Agility or consent of instructor.  Six weeks / $165

On-Leash Obedience
Private one-on-one instruction covering basic obedience in and around the house: sit, down, come, stay, and heel.  You will learn how to effectively communicate with your dog and problem-solve basic behavior problems like jumping, housebreaking, barking, and nipping.  Prerequisites:  Puppy Preschool or consent of instructor. Six weeks / $540

Off-Leash Obedience
This course builds on skills learned in On-Leash Obedience, and offers freedom from the leash. You will learn voice control over your dog from a distance.  This course covers all the basic commands off-leash, plus a "go to bed" command, hand signals, and distance control under all kinds of distractions.  Prerequisites:  On-Leash Obedience or consent of instructor.  Four weeks / $380

Open Gym and Membership
Open Gym is for Zoom Room Members to practice their skills.  You must be an active member of The Zoom Room to participate in Open Gym and have completed either Series I or Puppy Agility.  First come, first serve.  Space is limited so reservations are suggested.  Please be respectful of other members on the course. Rentals
Need the whole facility to yourself?  No problem.  The Zoom Room is available for hourly rental for private practice time or, yes, even dog birthday parties.  Live it up with your pals and their canine buddies for a unique birthday bash no one will forget.  Please inquire at our front desk for availability or e-mail us.  Prices start at $60 / hour (event fees apply for more than one dog or person).

Doggy Disco
Who doesn’t love disco?  Our ceiling-mounted laser light show projects a dizzying array of colors on the floor, perfect for your obsessive-compulsive pooch to chase.  Don our Laser Light Gloves and add a personalized touch to the fun.  Individual sessions take place between classes.   Zoom Room membership required.
