Fall 2007
We are happy to announce the opening of the nation's very first Canine Social Club, The Zoom Room. Located in Culver City, the Zoom Room is Los Angeles' first indoor agility center, featuring state-of-the-art equipment, enthusiastic instruction, and a fantastic facility with all the comforts of home. Classes begin October 1st, and include basic obedience, therapy dog training, puppy class, puppy agility, and basic agility. We will be adding more classes in November, including trick training class and a class called "Kids and Dogs" which is tailored especially for the younger crowd of dog enthusiast. Space is limited, so sign up soon.
Good Luck Tito! Some of the Rover regulars may remember Tito, the former dog of Zoom Room director Jaime Van Wye. Tito, a Belgian Malinois trained in explosives detection, has moved to the Big Apple to work as a contraband dog for the NYPD's Organized Crime K9 Unit. Although we'll miss him, we're sure that
he'll catch a lot of bad guys.
Wagyu? We've created a fun menu for you and your dog when you visit the Zoom Room... and top on the list is our hot dog machine, which rolls out venison hot dogs and beef hot dogs made from Wagyu cattle, otherwise known as Kobe beef. Wagyu are renowned for flavor, tenderness, and fatty, well-marbled qualities enhanced by the traditional methods of raising Kobe beef.
What is Doggy Disco? Dim the lights, please. We installed a commercial-quality club lighting system replete with a mirrored ball in The Zoom Room to recreate that disco feel... with a laser light show on the floor. Many dogs love chasing the fast-moving, colorful lights, all to the beat of groovy tunes from the era. And, their antics provide plenty of entertainment for the owners. It's just too bad dogs don't drink cocktails.
