Zoom Room Policies

We like a safe and happy environment.  All dogs must be fully vaccinated, healthy and social with both humans and other dogs to enroll in our group classes (if you need us to define “social” chances are your dog is not).  If your dog doesn’t play well with others, you can enroll in private lessons or rent the facility all for yourself.  Dogs displaying aggressive behavior during ANY class will be asked to leave.  If you have questions regarding this policy please speak to an instructor.

vaccinations:  Proof of current yearly vaccination must be provided prior to enrolling in The Zoom Room.  Please make sure your dog is up-to-date on DHPP, bordatella, and rabies vaccines.  Titer tests are permitted within the start of one week of class.  Puppies will need to have vaccinations commensurate with their age to enroll in puppy class (Two DHPP vaccines by 8 weeks, three DHPP by twelve weeks, and four DHPP vaccines plus bordatella by sixteen weeks).  You MUST bring a photocopy of your vaccinations for our files to your first class. 

collars and leashes:  All dogs must be leashed in the lobby areas.  Flat buckle collars and nylon or leather leashes should be used for classes.  Correction collars (choke chains, prong collars, and e-collars), head collars (Haltis or Gentle Leaders), and harnesses should be removed prior to agility classes, but may be worn in the lobby area or during obedience classes.  Flexi-Leashes are NOT permitted in the building.

Our facility is not a dog park.  Please walk your dog prior to entering the building.  You are responsible for cleaning up any accidents within the facility!

Please also note that there is no grace period for hourly rentals, and all classes begin promptly, so please be on time, or better yet, come early and grab a coffee!  Please wait until the previous class has finished before entering the agility course.

we love kids
Kids are welcome at The Zoom Room, however, please note that each child under fourteen must have an adult escort.  Children are not allowed to climb, play, or rough-house on the agility equipment (and that includes jumping through the hoop - we mean it!). We have a lounge area replete with complimentary coffee, magazines, pinball, and free wireless Internet if you prefer to let your kids do all the training (we don’t mind).  Children not participating in class must be supervised.

the fine print: cancellations, refunds, etc
Private lessons must be cancelled 24 hours in advance.  Late cancellations will be charged the full price.  We do not offer makeup lessons for group classes but if the same class is offered at a different time during the week you may come to a different day with instructor approval.  Refunds are given after the first class only minus an administrative and teaching fee.  Merchandise must be returned within 30 days with original receipt.  Items without a receipt wil be issued a store credit. Collars, bedding, damaged or chewed items, and training equipment are non-returnable. If unused, collars and bedding may be exchanged for store credit.
